Shazna – Topaz

I loved you too much, unmoving you(*1)
I want you too much, incessantly
The lies I was telling, gazing at you from far away
An impossible romance
Before I knew it, I had wounded you

That day, that time, that place we met
Even now it doesn’t change
Though the seasons revolve endlessly so many times

The person I wrap up in my embrace isn’t you
You who I want, where are you now?
Are you being embraced?
Just like that time reflected in me
It would be nice if I could be with you
But I can’t even touch you anymore

I loved you too much, unmoving you
I want you too much, incessantly
The lies I was telling, gazing at you from far away
An impossible romance
Before I knew it, I had wounded you
Long for your love

The person I wrap up in my embrace isn’t you
You who I want, where are you now?
Are you being embraced?
Just like that time reflected in me
It would be nice if I could be with you
But I can’t even touch you anymore

Ah, I want my unmoving you too much
My heart has been wounded
From the beginning, my intention of yearning is
Brightness steal for Jesus

Notes:

一枚の君 tripped me up a bit at first, because that’s not the normal way to write 1 person. 一枚 means “one flat thing” like a sheet of paper, so considering that with the rest of the lyrics, it gives the impression that the narrator is looking at a photograph of the person.
